Gems and Biorhythms - JewelInfo4u

By: Mathew Abraham
Summary: Biorhythms deal with the cyclical vibrations that the human body radiates at different physical, emotional and mental levels. The vibrations vary in intensity from person to person and from time to time. Certain precious stones are known to have their own vibrations and, when vibrating in resonance with human vibrations, can stimulate a variety of reactions. It is not just birth stones or astrological stones that have these effects. In fact this subject has nothing to do with birthstones or astrological stones, but is purely connected with the vibrations of gems and their relationship with the cyclical vibrations in the human body. With proper guidance, you can plan your daily, weekly and monthly activities so that you perform them at the best possible times and get the optimum benefit. You can also understand the behavior of others around you and get the best out of them as well.

Study of Biorhythms and the Psychic power of Gems

The traditional practice of using gems (especially different varieties of quartz) to draw positive cosmic energy forces from stars and planets has been in existence from very ancient times. The main purpose was to divert these powers into the human psychic energy field so that persons wearing these gems could enhance their capabilities and get protection from any negative psychic influences within or outside their system. It has been known for several centuries that human behavior varies in individuals from time to time, and the levels of intensity are subject to cyclical patterns. There are times when individuals are stimulated and effervescent, feeling great and performing at their best. And at other times they are dull and depressed, not even able to think or communicate clearly. While the influence of gems on humans has been experienced and studied even from ancient times, the scientific study of biorhythms is only about a hundred years old. The Greeks are known to have been aware of these cycles thousands of years ago, but credit for modern research and development must go to Dr. Wilhem Fliess, Hermanna Swoboda and Prof. Alfred Telcher.

Clinical research has been conducted to ascertain the physical, mental and emotional performance of individuals at different times of the day, different days of the week, and different periods of each month. Most studies are based on the natural monthly biorhythmic cycles. The dynamism of the subject is so vast that, even though definite patterns of behavior have been established based on the date and time of birth of an individual, it is evident that there is still a long way to go. Each cycle has a high or positive phase when it is ascending, and a low or negative phase when it is descending. The period between the high and low phase of each cycle is called the "critical period", and persons are known to be more prone to accidents and other misfortunes on these "critical days" days in their biorhythmic cycles. The wearing of talismans with assorted gems became popular to get protection from the negative effects experienced on the critical days.

Biorhythmic Cycles

At the physical level, factors like energy, strength, endurance, reflex coordination, resistance to disease, etc will be functioning at optimum levels during the cyclic high. But you will experience a decline in vitality during the cyclic low. At the emotional level, it is the nervous system that feels the effect of the cyclic high and low, with emotions like love, optimism, compassion, joy, tranquility, etc. being enhanced during the high, and opposite sentiments becoming prominent during the low period of the cycle. To put it simply, you will feel real good during the peak of the cycle and real bad at the bottom of it. At the mental level, factors that are affected are memory, reasoning, understanding, capacity to learn, ability to compute, etc. They will be functioning best at the peak of the cycle and not so well at the lower end. The judicious use of different gems and proper planning of activities according to biorhythmic cycles will help to coordinate physical, emotional and mental activity and ensure a higher success rate in all endeavors, while assuring a measure of protection against negative influences.

The influence of Gems on Biorhythmic Behavior

The effect of different gems on individuals is also a subject that has undergone detailed research, and it is becoming clear that precious stones can have a marked influence on controlling or accentuating biorhythmic behavior. Different stones affect different aspects of human behavior. The cost or value of the stones has no bearing on their performance, but they should be of reasonably good quality. A defective stone can possibly have negative effects. The better the quality of the stone, the better the results. Garnets are believed to assist movement in the dark and, having a strong link with blood, give protection from snake venom and food poisoning. The amethyst is believed to have an anti-intoxicating and sobering effect on the mind, and also the power of protection from treachery - qualities desired by royalty. It is also credited with the ability to prevent baldness and protect the skin. Aquamarine is associated with love and affection, youthfulness and health, hope and friendship. Diamonds are connected with eternity and believed to bring enduring love. They are also believed to increase physical and mental strength.

Emeralds are credited with the ability to heal several sicknesses (physical and mental) and also enhance powers to predict the future. Pearls are believed to strengthen marital relationships, and also the virtues of modesty and chastity. Rubies are believed to have an inner flame that gives powerful protection against unfortunate events causing a disturbance in a harmonious life. The Peridot is believed to provide protection against the forces of evil, and also to stimulate the healing potential of medicinal drugs. The sapphire is believed to enable the wearer to understand dreams and visions, especially concerning the future, and also provide insight. The opal is credited several powers which include the ability to protect from evil, healing powers, improve the eyesight, make the wearer invisible, etc. The topaz also is credited with a variety of powers, including healing, insight, making the wearer invisible, etc. The turquoise is believed to have power to stimulate love and good fortune. These are the main gems but there are several others as well. You need to make a careful study of your biorhythmic cycle and the properties of different gems in order to ascertain which gems are best for your particular needs. Even if it takes some time and some experimenting, it will definitely be worth the effort.
