W. Dan Hausel


Research geologist, consultant & writer W. Dan Hausel, sees things others simply overlook. Where others walked & saw nothing, he found gold, platinum, palladium, opal, diamonds, rubies, sapphires, iolite, peridot, agate, jasper & some of the largest gemstones on earth. Spending summers alone in wilderness, he mapped >1000 mi2 of complex geologic terrain, historic mines, rare volcanic rocks with diamonds & other gems & wrote about these in >600 papers & books as a research geologist for the Geological Survey ( He made additional discoveries as Vice President of Exploration for an international diamond company & as a consultant for other precious metal & diamond companies.

Awarded the President's Award by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Prospector's Best Friend Award by the Rocky Mountain Prospectors, the Distinguished Service Award by the Wyoming Geological Association, the Archimedes Award of Geological Sciences by the International Biographical Institute & elected to the National Rock Hound & Lapidary Hall of Fame & Millennium Hall of Fame for contributions to the geological sciences. His achievements in geology & martial arts highlight dozens of Who’s Who compendiums: Who's Who in Science & Engineering, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, 2,000 Notable American Men, 2000 Outstanding Scientists of the 20th Century & others.

Erum Ali Qureshi is a young trade professional associated with the Gem & Jewellery Industry for the past three years. She holds an F.G.A degree in Gemology from The Gemological Association of Great Britain, London. Working for an international Gem Testing Laboratory has given her the opportunity to interact with gemologists and specialists of this field and this in turn has fuelled a fascination for gemstones. Highly qualified academician and gemologist Mr.Makarand Chitnis with a working and teaching experience of over 25 years in this industry checks her articles for accuracy and technical details. The objective of these articles on lab testing techniques is not to embellish or impress but to bring to the layman, precise and to-the-point information about lab-procedures that until now were known only to a select few!.

Madhubanti Rudra

Madhubanti Rudra was born in a family where literature was a passion for everybody. Her father or grandfather although engaged in different professions were always associated with literary movement and activities. Born in such a family it was only natural for her to step into the world of journalism and writing. Being an avid reader, she finds pleasure with any research-based writing. Seema Susheel is a creative being. Creativity is her passion and anything beautiful and artistic has inspired her. She is a natural artist dabbling in paint and brush from childhood and has won many accolades on her way. Born in an Army family she has roamed all over India and hence different cultures and art forms interest her. She continued on her creative journey by taking up fine arts degree in Chitrakala Parishath Bangalore, and chose to be a computer multimedia and design professional. She has worked in a multinational company for five years and during the period has also gone on work to USA. From adolescence she has written creative write ups and poetry and English has been her favorite subject. At present she is a freelance Graphic designer and copywriter happy to be associated with has designed jewelry for herself and her friends, and the wide range in gemstones and jewelry has inspired her to write for jewelry, this has got her a great deal of creative satisfaction.

Mathew Abraham

Mathen (Mathew Abraham) is essentially a businessman who is well versed with the English language. His love for reading is combined with a keen interest in accumulating information on any subject that attracts his attention. As a result, he has the ability to conduct detailed studies over a diverse range of subjects. It was this skill that introduced him to the field of content editing, and he can both edit prepared contents or research and develop fresh contents. His first assignment was undertaken to help a friend develop a large website within a limited period of time. Ms Nandita Ray

A teacher by profession, a student by choice, Nandita Ray believes that learning is never ending. With knowledge just a click away, exploring the ever expanding world of themes and ideas is fascinating to her. Writing is just its alter ego.
